CBS to air Supergirl as a series
WTF? First why? Then, why didn't CW want it?
http://deadline.com/2015/01/supergir...bs-1201348158/ Why is Supergirl a CBS and not a CW series, a TV critic asked during CBS’ TCA executive session, which started off with CBS chairman Nina Tassler congratulating sibling CW on its Golden Globe win for Jane The Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez. Tassler said she’d been a fan of the genre since developing The New Adventures Of Superman while at Warner Bros. TV. “There is a human drama there.” As for Supergirl, it is “a real passion of ours,” Tassler said, noting that the premise “embodies so many of the qualities and characteristics of the classic female heroines on CBS,” making her relatable. The Supergirl costumes already have been created, now the challenge is to find the right actress to wear them. “We’re looking for quality, looking for charisma,” Tassler said after the session. “We are looking for someone who inhabits the freshness of being a woman in today’s challenging climate, someone who can carry this kind of series on her shoulders.” |

So how many earths are there?
Got two for The Flash Earth 1 and 2 now there is another Earth that Supergirl is on but she and The Flash have no clue who each other are after The Flash saves her from falling even though she would have been fine. so how many Earths are in the DC universe? |

For what it's worth, I watch the show regularly and I like it a lot. I think it has improved tremendously since it first began. I especially like the storyline with John Jonzz, the Martian Manhunter. He is a badass. |

This show was much better than before, it was pretty good. They must have learned from The Flash success. |

I tried watching it. Got through a few minutes on separate occasions. Hated it. I heard it wasn't picked up for renewal. Good riddance.

There's a misperception that its not being renewed yet means it's canceled, but that's not the case. CBS hasn't actually renewed any of their new 2015 shows yet, though several are expected to be renewed. I couldn't say which way it's going to go, but it's not dead at this point.

This show actually got better as it went on (which I can't say about both "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Legends of Tomorrow", two shows I've given up on). The series finale just aired and unfortunately got low ratings, but I hope they give it another shot. Benoist is easy on the eyes and does as much with the role as she can. The Martian Manhunter is a strong character. The chick playing her sister is hot. So is Channing Tatum's wife (Lucy Lane). It's got fun cameos: Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl from "Smallville") as Brainiac, Dean Cain (Superman on "Lois and Clark") as Jeremiah Danvers, Hellen Slater (Supergirl in the 1984 film) as Eliza Danvers, reportedly others have shown an interest in cameos if there's a second season (Lynda Carter, John Schneider). Calista Flockhart has fun with her role and has some good one-liners. The dude playing Jimmy Olsen is interesting as he's a) black and b) actually has a personality, as most Jimmy Olsen are "gee willikers!" cardboard cutouts even worse than Superman himself.
