Yep, it sounds like how the kid wound up out of the car is in dispute. I heard the full police press conference on my commute into work and they claim the kid got out on his own, but witness statements claim he was pulled from the car.

The other really interesting aspect is this is now a cop v cop issue.

As a civilian, inbelieve that a great deal of officers stretch the truth and use "He was resisting" as an excuse to escalate force or justify their use of force. Obviously this father wasted no time requesting that the USDOJ get involved because he feels the IPD's version is bullshit.

This story makes me pissed for two reasons.
1. Kid is possibly brain dead due to excessive force by a cop
2. Media coverage of this pales in comparison to the Ferguson incident, simply because of the race of the kid.
