I gave him a C+. The guy isn't Berry but a lot of folks expected the same production. He's not an ILB either, but idiot Sutton kept playing him like one. The guy just always seems to be around the ball. He's one of the few that plays balls to the wall on every play.
As I read his contract details, if he does everything, he gets $4.8M next year. If we cut him, we carry $3M dead money. With his experience, it looks to me that $1.8M is pretty cheap insurance. |

We can do better, but I expect him on the team next season just because there are more worrisome areas to consider and Berry’s return will mask a lot of Sorensen’s shit.

Not as bad as some make him out to be
Not good enough to justify his current contract Obviously not someone who should be starting, so rework his contract to reflect his backup status and keep him around in a depth/role player status C+ |

Could be a solid replacement for Parker (useless). Berry + Sorenson is a nasty safety combo. DEFINITELY renegotiate contract.

He'd be fine as a 1 Down player and Special Teamer but he was forced to play 3 downs this season and blech.
Dorsey (as usual) overpaid him as well. The guy is worth $2 million per, tops, not $16 million over 4 years. $3 million in Dead Money in order to cut him, too. Thanks again, Dorsey! |

A rich man's Sabby Pissandshitty.
I gave him a D because he has a tiny of bit of value vulturing picks in a defense where pressure and Eric Berry/Marcus Peters force a ton of balls into his zone. I don't want him anywhere near the roster next season but Bob seems to like him.

I think the missed tackles argument is overblown. A lot of those were running plays when he was a MLB. 6'2", 208 doesn't pack the same wallop as 6'3', 242 or 6'2", 252.

Does it matter what position you're playing? I don't give a shit if you're in the slot or with your hand in the dirt, a missed tackle is a missed tackle.

Missed or didn't bring down? There's a difference in hitting a 225lb RB and a 185lb WR when you're 208. The guy isn't a MLB, that's why you have someone in the 235-250lb range playing MLB. What I saw was a lot of him not being able to bring down a RB without help. Yes, that's "missed tackle", but there's a difference.
