I was a little disappointed when I read this. I mean, you know, love the idea of a Kansas kid succeeding at KU. But if the other guards are simply better and his dad was being like that then this is a good thing.

Why on earth would this year be a dud, when he has two top 10 players coming in and a likely third in Svi?

I'd also take a sophomore selden over literally any incoming freshman.

Selden will be big 12 POY finalist, and I think he could win it.

If he doesnt straighten up his Defense, he wont get any playing time at Wichita State. He seems like a Creighton type player, but I could be wrong

Besides that VanVleet is a junior now and he won't unseat him for his senior campaign, so he'll get one year at PG or switch to SG.

I'm sure it'll be fine if that's what he wants to do, but he's not going to be starting PG day one there IMO.
Who was that team KU played in the 2007 NCAA tourney? Southern Illinois? Man, that were all about that hack you to death strategy.

“I met with Conner and his father (Martin Frankamp) Wednesday to discuss his situation and opportunity this season at Kansas,” Self said in a release. “On Thursday he informed me he was going to transfer at the end of this fall semester. From this point forward he is no longer part of this team and will not participate this semester so he can transfer after Christmas and have two-and-a-half years remaining when he becomes eligible after sitting out one full academic year.”

Yeah, the new rule changes should help mitigate that to some degree, but the rules seemed to gradually loosen up on the contact and hand checking as the year went on. Honestly, that is fine by me, that really helps out Bill Self coached teams as he has a physical defensive philosophy.

At any rate he told the staff thanks and I've heard he's not looking MVC at all unless a last resort. Rather wants to head out west, like ASU, Colorado, Utah, someplace like that"

Yeah, it was brutal... and Jay Bilas spent the entire game talking about how knew Kansas was going to choke because they always choke and choke choke choke...

After Arthur got shoved under the defensive basket, one of the guys said "he shouldn't allow himself to be knocked back like that"..... Uh, he also shouldn't have to deal with a forearm in the chest. It was like watching a hockey game with 16 players on the ice.

So, this semester counts against his eligibility? The season hasn't started, so that seems a bit unfair.

Quite frankly the game I watched was worse than the SIU game. They beat on VanVleet the worst, probably because they knew they couldn't stay in front of him straight up. They trapped him on the sidelines one game and I feared for the kids safety. It was horrible.
