I'm a fan of Bennie. I didn't expect much from him, and I thought he played really well. He generated some inside pass rush even it didn't result in sacks, and he was active against the run. He was actually in the top 20 in the NFL for tackles by a defensive lineman, and that's impressive for an interior guy.

I gave him a C. Vastly underperformed his contract. Just a guy. 94th rated DL on PFF.
But hey, at least he's been a key cog in two shit-sucking run defenses now, so that bodes well for his career future.

what was his run grade? thats the entire reason we brought him here. Also does sutton just not allow dline to rush the qb? Poe leaves and has a pretty decent year rushing.

8 million per year is way to much for a guy who played like an average joe. Considering it was a contract year for him and that's all we got, he needs to go.

I gave him a C-.
He was on the field for the most part, but thats about all he accomplished. He was only on a 1 year deal, so hes probably gone. Failed experiment. |

2nd best run stuffer on the team. Unfortunately the rest of the front 7 was absolute trash making this guy look worse than he is. Would consider keeping at $4 million or less.

C+
Was a fairly decent capable run stuffer which is what we rented him to do. Looked to me like his play fell off a ton back half of year. Full year performance did not match the $8m 1 year contract. If he will take $4-$5m per, I think we would re-sign him.
