If you wanted to go forward, it would just to the same exact spot on the next head. But there was no guarantee that you'd hear the song that you actually wanted to hear and if it was that song, I might jump to just after the beginning, near the end or anywhere in between.

We were grateful at the time to be able to listen to the music of choice but the best way, IMO, was from start to finish.
I am vividly remembering getting KISS Destroyer on 8-track and the title song bled over onto another track. Infuriating.

My best friend had one of those Panasonic units that had a recordable 8 track, AM/FM radio and a turntable.

I recorded the Blizzard of Ozz records so we could listen to them on the way to school in my car, but so many of the songs were so long, they'd bleed into the next track. So jumping around was impossible.

I was so stoked to get my next car, which had a cassette player with two 6x9 Jensen's in the back, a six in each door and a 4 in the dashboard.

Coupled with an amp/EQ and I was in heaven.

Hey, the Columbia Records Club is coming back!

I'm sure how it'll work but back in the day, it was awesome.

I was part of the video crew for a show they did last year...private event. I had no idea how many great songs they cranked out.

when people are in tuned with the essence of honest music from the soul.. there's no limits to the hits.. doesn't hurt to have the talent to back it up either.

I remember the tapes from them being very sketchy. I can't remember what it was about them anymore. Just that Columbia tapes were not worth it.

Probably my favorite of their songs. I remember enjoying it when it came out. Apparently I was 7 years old when it was released:
