Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse will hit the market.

I always liked this guy as a #2 WR.

Thoughts?

Even though I was a fan of his coming in, Maclin had a much bigger impact than I expected. He is/was really good in this offense.

They need to find their Desean Jackson accross from him now.

If kearse came here he would average a 20,000 dollars for every bubble screen he ran.

Since Seattle is the hometown team, I watch their games. I don't see Kearse being a good fit for the Chiefs at all. Most of Kearse's catches come when Wilson starts to scramble and look downfield. Kearse has a knack of working his way open when that happen but he really doesn't get open on "standard" routes. Kearse is also good on the deep ball.

Frankly, Kearse's strengths don't fit the strength of our QB (not a slam on Alex; just an observation).

Really wish Alex would learn to consistently keep his eyes downfield when he tucks and runs. I've seen him make some great plays while doing that but it's a rarity.

This team can't afford him unless it wants to lose something on defense.

We have too many expensive players getting ready to be free agents.

If we want a vet WR, just sign Bowe back. He is going to get cut and will be dirt cheap. He knows the offense and Reid seemed to like him. We need the money to re-sign our defensive free agents

Was actually planning on mocking him as a FA sign in my next go around special. Love Kearse, but my problem is will Alex throw those tight balls he's so good at going and getting?

I agree, I have been saying all season I would love to see some 2 back sets.

WR2...OLOLCOLOL.Kel......Mac
................AS
...........SW.......JC

Split the carries between them, JC also gets the short passes, allows us more playaction. Ware could also block for JC on certain runs. Would be a nightmare for defenses and opens up the passing attack and routes for our WR as the Safeties concentrate on our RB duo.

Just need a OC who is not a fuktard with playcalling.

If Conley plays it smart he'll work with Maclin in the off season and has all the physical tools (and then some) to become a top 10 receiver in the NFL so we won't need a #2 next season. He's already in Arrowhead.

I'm an eternal optimist however or I wouldn't be a Chiefs fan for 20 years.
