Final Thoughts: Cutdowns

Didn't get to watch much of last preseason game except late 3rd & all 4th quarter - Hogan looks really raw but I saw some pretty good passes - O'Shags looked like shit dropping all kinds of passes. I see that Murray had 2 INT's, Dadi Nicolas had 2 sacks and Streater had some nice yardage, I think Knile Davis made his trade value go up.....

Anyone else? Who gets the final roster spots and PS spots based upong tonights performance?

That said, why do you (or anyone else) believe that Robinson locked up a roster spot?

If this was 2013 or 2014, I could see it, based on their weak WR corp but keeping him just because they drafted him this year doesn't make much sense to me because he's been close to invisible.

I think Wilson sucks as and I'd take him over Robinson.
Because they liked them enough to spend 3rd and 4th round picks on them, they obviously like them.

They aren't going to cut a pick that high, after 1 preseason with the club.

Also, Robinson was their third 4th round pick in the 2016 draft.

Russell has been the least impressive of all of the newly acquired CB's. I really don't give a shit that he missed a few weeks of install, because like Dee Ford, he doesn't seem to "get it". Hopefully, the lightbulb comes on at some point soon.

I really don't give a shit about a late 4th round pick that will take years to develop before he contributes.
Well, that's how you continue u ally stay relevant in the nfl. Developing talent that doesn't have to play right away.

If you're expecting every draft pick to come in and be a difference maker or get it, right away, you're probably going to be left a little disappointed

I don't exactly what more Dezman Moses has to do to secure a roster spot. He's been in this position before with the team where he makes plays in the preseason game but still gets the ax until we need to claim him off the street due to injury.

Yeah, I get that you want those backup guys to be excellent special teams players more than you want them to be plug-and-play backups, but we don't really have much choice right now. Dee Ford is such absolute shit-for-AIDS.

I hope Moses doesn't get cut.

Robinson was their third 4th round pick and would not have acquired him without the trades that led to extra picks this year.

The Chiefs roster has become so deep that they're not going to be able to keep every draft pick.

That's their new reality.

Isn't 3 years of Frankie Hammond And Albert Wilson enough to realize they really don't bring much?

Pretty sure Robinson is already what Hammond is, Hammonds whopping 4 catches and scary I'm gonna fumble returns aside.

I'm pretty sure that Robinson is NOT Frankie Hammond, as he doesn't return punts.

I'd keep DAT before Hammond or Robinson.

They have a logjam of JAG's.

Do you go into the season with proven JAG's, like Wilson and DAT or unproven JAG's, like Robinson?

Sure, that's true.

But if they're cutting 3rd and 4th rounders in the year they picked them, they were terrible draft picks and something in the evaluation process went terribly wrong

He had one good play last night that everyone was talking about. Yeah yeah yeah....one good play in the 4th preseason game. I know.

But I'm not going to sit here and claim him worthless 4 preseason games into his first season.
