Jim Harbaugh has made plenty of headlines since taking his place at the head of Michigan football in late December.

From football to fun to heroics to antagonistic, Harbaugh hit the ground running in Ann Arbor.

On Monday, MLive.com reported that the Wolverines self-reported four minor violations since Harbaugh's arrival. According the report — MLive.com obtained the violations through a Freedom of Information request — each Level III violation was deemed "minor and unintentional."

No players or coaches lost eligibility from the violations.

The first violation stemmed from the recruitment of Wayne Lyons, a graduate transfer from Stanford. Another involved Harbaugh sending an autographed helmet to a high school and the proceeds were used for a scholarship fund (Harbaugh didn't know that), which is a violation. The third violation occurred when Harbaugh and two other football officials allowed a prospective athlete sit in what was considered premium seating at Yost Ice Arena. The final violation involved an electronic correspondence with a recruit.

As Harbaugh continues his transition from the NFL back to college, he'll become more educated on what's allowed and what isn't by the NCAA. For now, these are the types of violations that many schools self report and receive little, if any small penalty.
