he traded up for 2 different RBs, the most dime a dozen, short shelf life position in the NFL. His taste in QBs leaves much to be desired, save for RGIII who he couldn't close the deal on.

Haden and Gordon are very nice pickups though. As for Richardson, don't get me wrong, he's good, but I dunno that he's trade up good.

Exactly what was wrong with that?

Richardson was seen as the next Adrian Peterson. The Browns needed an offensive star. Moving up 2 spots instead of hoping that he would fall isn't that big of a ****ing deal.

ya at least it shows he's willing to do something to get the guy he wants. Trent Richardson is not a common RB.

By the end of next year he'll be a top 5 HB.

That said, DO NOT WANT...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

He at least understood how important it was to land RG3, and when that failed, he found another QB in the first. smart moves, IMHO.

It was 1 spot using scrap picks, and yes he was that good - widely regarded the best RB since Peterson and a special one. The most important thing to take out of it is that he's not afraid to be aggressive, something that's cost the Chiefs for decades now. Pussy organisation that's always scared to make the big move; hell, since Vermeil they've been too ****ing scared to throw a pass longer than 12 yards. That all changes with Reid/Heck.
