I'm betting that has something to do with their historically poor shooting.

Early in the year, when they couldn't throw a ball in the ocean, analysts were calling it bad luck because surely these guys weren't actually that bad at shooting the ball.

Now statistically most of them have come around and are now shooting much better. Still, the poor shooting early in the season wasn't bad luck, it was bad play.

It's a little like BABIP in that regard. A pitcher gives up a .360 BABIP and analysts say that it's bad luck. They give up a HR/FB rate in the 20% range and analysts say the same. But those pitchers are usually sporting LD rates in the 30% range and hard contact rates way up there as well. Sure, they won't continue to be that bad because the process of selection in the minors says they aren't truly that awful. So it will eventually come down and analysts will say their luck evened out. Nah - the just started playing to their talent. They weren't getting unlucky, they were playing poorly.

Mizzou basketball is no different. Sure, they are far more talented than many of the teams they lost to early on, but they played like shit. That's not bad luck, it's bad performance.

Disgraceful. If they cared even a shred they wouldn't have let it get to this point. Firing Anderson mid season wouldn't have changed anything but it shows that you won't tolerate this shit. Thank God I've already let go or this would be devastating.

I've been told Kim went to Sterk and asked him to let him close this out. Not sure why Sterk is saying yes, but guess ole Grandpa is a masochist.

At least the morons who made this happen have to wear it and watch him go 0-19 in conference and lose like the last 25 games of his coaching career.

Anybody catch the Mizzou fan who called into Petro's show last week (it's podcasted) defending KA? He wasn't trolling, he was serious.

His main points: 1. Kim's a Mizzou guy and we have to respect that; 2. Kim got dealt a raw deal being hired while under NCAA investigation; 3. Mizzou has led at halftime of several games which shows the players play hard for him. He said Kim needs a couple more years.

These people actually exist.
