Gas Grills

I have a Kenmore gas grill and a Weber 22" kettle charcoal grill.

I used my Weber for smoking and whatnot and the gas grill for quick cooking.

The flavorizer bars and the drip tray sheet metal is all rotted out on the gas grill so I need to either replace these pieces or replace the whole damn grill.

I know the Weber gas grills are good but real expensive.

I'd like to find one that has a smoking tray built right in and maybe an infared burner for searing steaks.

I may even consider a Traeger.

Any ideas?

I'm looking at getting a gas flat top grill. I know FMB was a big fan of his blackstone. I've been doing research and found a lot of complaints about the grease drain on it. I've been looking at the camp chef as well which allows you to remove the griddle and his grill grates below which to be honest I doubt I would ever use. Does anyone have experience with either of these flat tops?

Camp Chef owner here, I love it but I have never removed the flat top to use the grill. I have a small Weber Q grill we bought for kids ball tournaments and now only use that or the flat top for grilling. Pellet smoker for BBQ.

I have a flat top Blackstone and I'm not a big fan. I'm not sure if it's the grill or me getting use to it. The grease sucks and the cook times are much different. I've burnt more food on it in the 6 months I've had it then I have had on other grills in the last 6 years.

I have the Camp Chef flat top I just don't use it much. In fact I stored the top in the garage and haven't gotten it out once this spring. I use my Weber charcoal kettle or one of my smokers. I just rather bbq or smoke at home. I bought a portable 24 in Blackstone flat top for camping that works well for us.

I have the previous model with the front drain cup.

When it gives up, I'll probably look at the Blue Rhino Razor:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Blue-Rhino-...ill/1000364859

Enclosed grease trap that goes into a removable tray and a higher BTU 'sear burner' on the right side. Also has folding shelves that make it's own hard cover (as opposed to needing to spend a few bucks on a hard-cover for the Blackstone.

I love my Blackstone, don't get me wrong. But the rear trap would be obnoxious and ultimately they may have set the standard first, but others are building better mousetraps now.
