In the first, though? I'd be more of a fan of them making a run at Vernon Davis than taking a TE at 18.

Maxx Williams at 8 million total deal or Vernon Davis type where you have to shell that much or more yearly.

Sold, especially on Cameron. Nothing against Thomas, but I just think Cameron would shine in a 2-TE set featuring a back with Charles' abilities. Maybe I just think Cameron would come cheaper.
Valid point. Depends on how they want to juggle it, I suppose. Bring in a Cameron, Davis, Cobb, or Thomas, and they almost assuredly go O-Tackle in the first, wouldn't they? Do nothing and go receiver or TE.... |

Cobb, Charles, Kelce, Williams, Dat, and Wilson. Top 5 offense even with Alex Smith.

Top 16? Maybe. But it'll be the same story as it is now. Double cover Cobb and a Kelce and force Smith to throw into single coverage downfield. Wanna know how that ends up?

But he would never get the ball. It would be a waste of a pick drafting a decoy. It's like having a Porsche, who cares if it goes 180mph if the driver never exceeds 55mph.
