Before I read through that link, do you just put everything on an SD card and let her rip? Do they make cases for the boards? |

This is exactly what I bought off of Amazon: Motherboard, power supply and heatsinks. SD Card Case $80 for over 3000 games compared to $60 for 30 games on the NES classic. I already had a USB controller but I am going to get a PS3 controller eventually. |

They were just making sure they were going to raise at least X dollars to help fund their Switch launch and make sure they didn't have to buy back a ton of these, if it were a flop. |

How long did it take you to download 3000 games? I have around 100, and that was kind of a headache. 3000 |

The Pi 3 has wifi and blue tooth built in. I am using a PS3 controller for everything. I'm able to connect via blue tooth pretty easily. The only "drawback" if you want to call it that, is that when connecting the controller, it uses the whole Blue Tooth capability. So, if you have other devices connected via BT, you will loose that capability. The key board I have has a simple USB dongle though, so it wasn't an issue. I rarely need the keyboard after set up anyway. If you are going to use a 360 controller, which is what I wanted, you will need to make sure your USB cable has the ability to transmit data. It took me 2 or 3 hours to figure that out. IF you are dead set on using the 360 controller, you'll need to order an usb adapter for wireless.

I have not had any luck with N64 games. They are all choppy and impossible to play. Ive tried different emulators that come with the package, but pretty much the same results. I have some things left to try still though.

I built an emulator a while back, and loaded it with eleventy thousands ROMS, and got a nice controller. And the kid and I played with it for a couple days, and it has since been collecting dust. The thrill of building an emulator is usually more fun than actually playing.
