What fast food places do you just totally ignore?
People in GoChiefs' Taco John's thread got me to thinking about what fast food places I actually eat at and which ones just get totally ignored by me.

Places I actually eat at:

Chick Fil A
Whataburger
Braums
Taco Villa
Taco Bueno

Places that I never even consider...they don't even cross my mind when I drive past them:
McDonald's
KFC
Taco Bell
Waffle House
Panda Express


What places just go totally ignored by you?

Makes sense. I moved to Texas from Oregon/Washington (I lived in both) so I have a lot of friends on Facebook from both. At least 50% of them are always posting things about gluten free food, recipes, etc. There is no way they're all gluten intolerant.

I was even out there and one of them took me to a gluten free cupcake place (all they had was gluten free). It wasn't the same.

Yeah, it really depends on where you are at.

A lot of the Chinese takeout/buffets here are barely edible. Extremely cheap low quality food. They mostly make Chinese food so that they can call themselves a Chinese restaurant while feeding hundreds of hungry rednecks a couple tons of snow crab legs every weekend.

Compared to them, Panda Express is a clean restaurant with fresh hot food. You know you're getting actual chicken without bones and gristle (and maybe not even chicken).

On the flipside, most of the family-owned Mexican restaurants here are KILLER. There's absolutely no reason to eat at a Taco Bell ever. The Mexican restaurants are just as fast, just as cheap, and the food is so much better.

Ming was my go-to when I lived in North KC... I call them when I was 5 minutes away and it was ready when I got there. $7, IIRC... good for two meals and it was pretty good stuff. There are a few others around town with different names, but the same look and menu, but the one closest to me now sucks.
