Tyrann Mathieau has had two ACL tears, an LCL tear and a destroyed shoulder. Since then he has lost a ton of speed and the game-changing plays have disappeared. He still makes a ton of tackles in the secondary but that alone is not worth much and he is asking for much more than "much".


edit: First Eric Berry is a giant compared to Tyrann Mathieau and second we haven't seen if Berry has lost speed yet, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. In the meantime he's already under contract so this is comparing apples and oranges.

He’d be a better option.

Now that i think about it? Chiefs should sign a safety and go hard at trading in the 1st round to get a CB. I think thats realistically possible.
