****Official Royals Vs. White Sox OPENING DAY Gamthread 4/6****

Ok folks, the wait is finally over. Time to defend the pennant and it all starts now. Newly rich Yordano takes the bump, Moose is batting 2nd, and #Yosted is no longer a bad thing (He gets the benefit of the doubt for at least a week on lineup and sac bunt usage)

#LetsthrowdefendingALchampsFire

Lets do this shit!

you know that I've always been pretty obsessed about batting order ... but this particular decision actually excites me

we need Moose to be a beast this year

give him a month in the 2 hole to see if he has truly bought into using left field or laying down a bunt against the shift and let's see what happens

I don't think they need him to be a beast. They need .240 with 20 HR and good defense, and that's perfectly acceptable.

Gordon, Rios, Hosmer, Escobar, Perez, Cain all more important, IMO.

hell, I'd rather put Gordon back in the 1 hole now that we actually have some capable hitters in the lineup

Gordon
Rios
Cain
Hosmer
Morales
Moose
Perez
Infante
Escobar

would be fine with me

I think Moose and Hosmer take a step this year. I really do.

.780 OPS out of Moose; .820 OPS out of Hosmer

I hope you're right on Moustakas but will have to see it. Been burned by optimism for him too many times.

I actually think Hosmer can do better than that.

It works great if you know how to deal with all the popups and are patient.

General rules for strikeout.co:

1) Use a secondary browser in private mode (it's an eastern european site). I.E. not one you use to pay bills or check any online accounts.
2) When closing popups, look for the blue Xs. They are sometimes hidden/very small. Those are the ones you have to close to actually get rid of the pop-ups.
3) Be patient. You might have to try a few of the flash links to get a feed that works, especially on Opening Day.

Ya maybe the 2 hole gives Moose more of a role and responsibility and will help him.

Depending on how you watch, setup vpn or fake gps location to get around blackout.

I do this for the At Bat app on my phone.

I planned on using this and then just mirroring it to my tv. But, for some reason, my new Samsung uhd tv has an MLB app / channel, and it doesn't have a blackout restriction when I selected the Royals broadcast ?

It's a really rudimentary At Bat channel built into their smart tv service offerings, but it's letting me select any game and which team's broadcast I want and coming in in full HD, so I'm not sure why it doesn't blackout the game, but I'll happily take it. Hopefully, they don't update and fix this anytime soon.

If you have android and At Bat get Globus VPN and Fake GPS through Google Play - they are both free, and you can get around blackout restrictions.

I also got rid of cable now that I can access pretty much everything via XBox, Roku, etc.

FSKC still in Spring Training form by being late for the actual first pitch.

Nice top half of the inning.
