He could use it on a QB who sits for a year or two behind Taylor or draft the best player out there.

After acquiring QB Tyrod Taylor, I think Dorsey uses his draft capital to end draft day 1 with DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, DT Vita Vea, and QB Lamar Jackson.
Fitzpatrick replaces 2017 udfa Kai Nacua at FS teaming with SS Jabril Peppers and CBs Jason McCourty, Jamar Taylor, and Demarious Randall for a pretty respectable secondary. Vea replaces 2016 udfa Trevon Coley next to 2015 1st round pick Danny Shelton at DT with 2017 1st overall pick Myles Garrett at LDE and 2016 2nd round pick Emmanuel Ogbah at RDE to form a potentially dominant front 4. Taylor, a 2019 fa, is the placeholder QB for 2018 while Jackson prepares to take over the starting job in 2019. Get a dependable every down back like Royce Freeman in the 3rd round and do a lot of RPO with their mobile QBs for the next decade. |

dorsey playin with sashas draft picks like a boss!!
so you have your starting qb for a late 2nd, on a 1 yr rental, and if you play it right, let him walk and perhaps get a 3rd round comp in return in 2020 you just got the best slot wr in the league, though you better pay him! Put that in tandem with josh gordon and corey coleman, you've got your self a very high risk high reward wr corp there. add in duke johnson one of the most versatile all purpose RBs, njoku @te with a damn good OLine and that offense is suddenly for real. Qs remain sure but that could be good. now you can easily take barkley #1, wait for a qb #4, and still have 33 & 35 to do whatever the hell you want. unless theres 1 standout qb you like above the others, i'd take barkley 1 and qb 4. rosen or mayfield or allen. obviously tho, if you love one of the qbs take him and go rb in 2nd round, lots of them available this year. could even trade out of #4 for a different qb hungry team and stockpile again. |

Well with the Browns signing Carlos Hyde today I am expecting the Browns to go with Sam Darnold at #1 and Minkah Fitzpatrick at #4.

I'd still take Barkely at 1, Mayfield at 4 and grab that punter from Texas with my last 2nd.
Team would be in the playoffs this year. |
