Let's talk window tint
Decided to have the windows tinted on my Grand Prix daily driver Monday. It's an 01 Grand Prix GTP, 2 door. Dark red, or almost a maroon color.

What percentage should I have the windows tinted? I know 35% is legal on the front windows in Missouri, but was wondering if I could get away with doing 20% all around without attracting too much attention from Johnny Law.

Maybe 35% up front, and 20% on the quarters and rear?

What do you all think?

When I lived in KC, the highway patrol used to bust mother****ers left and right for tint. Had a friend that went to CMSU and the highway patrolman made him peel off his illegal tint on the side of the road. My friend said he would just pay the ticket and the highway dick said that's fine but he might see him 3 miles down the road and write him another ticket. And then he might radio the cops in the next town and the highway patrol at the next station to write him another ticket. He was pissed.

City cops would do bust your balls if they were bored.

The maximum your state will allow. To me, it't the best thing to do with a car. For you and your interior. Aesthetics too.

In my experience the cops on the Kansas side didn't give a shit about tint.

The locals around KC didn't really give a shit either except for the dickhead departments like Raytown and Blue Springs.

The Highway Patrol in Missouri went hard on that shit though.

Go with ceramic. Heat rejection is more superior. I've owned cars with regular cheap tint and now ceramic. Pay extra for ceramic. Go dark as you're allowed. I went with 5% limo tint on back window and its awesome. 35% on side windows as that's as dark as my state allows.

I did windshield too although it's illegal. It's so light you can't tell.

The tint shop offered to do 70%, said there's no way they can test it on the side of the road, but I just bought a $20 sunshade instead..... and well, I don't live in Arizona.
