Very early into the offseason I asked if there was a chance of this happening. I got called "****ing stupid" or something similar to that.

**** him if he is! J.J. Watt is still on his rookie deal too. Is he holding out? Nope! Speaks volumes. The whole rookie contract pay-structure was collectively bargained. Houston should it them. He'll get a raise based on his play when it was time - He's on the Chiefs radar. No need to hold out.

JJ Watt is also a significantly better player. Houston needs to show me more consistency against top competition instead of just abusing rookie OTs (7.5 of his sacks last year came against Lane Johnson and Luke Joeckle). Watt is a dominant force against anyone and everyone.
Watt is arguably a top 5 overall player in the league as of right now. |

Still grossly underpaid per the market.

The Texans will void his option after next season and he'll get Haynesworth $$$. Deal is he'll be the ANTI- Haynesworth once he gets it.

Says you. Please don't ever be the GM of my team. The Chiefs need to use all options available to them. IF they can't agree on an extension, then they'll franchise him. Deal is they need to be very careful with re-doing contracts when players are still under their current contract for obvious reasons.
