John believes in always drafting a QB every year. Has paid off the last 2 years, I think even Dysert is still kicking around as a backup somewhere.

Siemian is a smart kid who plays years above his age and experience. Not bad for a 7th round pick.

We could have traded for the 49er trash backup and given up 2 2nd round picks and hamstrung 2 drafts with nothing other than a WC to show for it.

I don't think any of us really had expectations of him stepping in as a rookie and being phenomenal. Time will tell. What I do know is that Siemian is producing pretty well and at an extreme fraction of the cost of many other big name starters.

Siemian's play improved once the OL stopped getting called for a hold to kill drives.

We need to run it like we did last night. Siemian can make all the throws and out classed a 5 year vet last night. He can run the O and is cool under fire.

Still under experienced but he will learn.

Lynch is going to be kept on the bench for as long as Siemian can place the ball where he does and can move the O.

Siemian was 100% healthy last night, showed the Thursday night game was too soon to bring him back but Lynch would have been worse.

Fraction of the cost and at this point, I have no complaints. I'm fine being 5-2 with a conservative passing game, if the alternative is bigger pass plays with more mistakes and possibly not being 5-2. I have no delusions that Trevor is the QBotF... it may or may not be Lynch, either. Time will tell.

I've never been a fan of the caretaker QB, but with this defense and the way they can play on offense with a solid ground attack, they have the receivers to make it count when they do attack. Trevor had some nice plays this past week, DT had a bad drop. The offense (esp the OL) is having way too many penalties at this point with holds and false starts, they killed two drives last week that would have gone for first downs early.

The OL has been a mess, both lines have had issues. And, if that's the worst of it, they can survive and do well. Win the division? Maybe... advance to the playoffs? I certainly believe that.

Denver could have written off this season as a pure 'reload' season, but they haven't and that's what I really like. They'll continue to draft a QB, depending on who is available and that's smart. And, if someone comes along in FA that makes more sense, I'm sure they'll give it a look.

But, I won't complain about Siemian at this point... he's done his job pretty well.

Well, Pickston does have a 2:1 TD to INT ratio... literally 2 for 1. It's way too early to judge his body of work, it's non-existent at this point.

Siemian is good for now with 8 TDs and 3 INTs, none since week 2 and he's thrown a TD in all but 1 game with a 5-1 record as a starter. That's a good start to a young career. Kid may look like a punter, but he has poise and doesn't get rattled into doing something stupid (Griese, Plummer, Cutler, Orton). Siemian is what we hoped Tebow could be, safe and conservative with the ability to throw it forward pretty well.
