***OFFICIAL Chiefs vs 49ers Game Day Thread***

It is time for Episode 3! Cue the dancing ladies and smoking monkeys ... the first home game of the season is upon us. Let there be no doubt that the Chiefs will dominate and the aftershock will again reverberate throughout the NFL.

According to my various esoteric devices and the large, blue bubble in my lava lamp which speaks to me in a human voice, our defense will perform much better in this one (just so you know).

Okay ... that should do it ...

Now a brief poemism ... uh ... let's see ...

Next up is a team from the bay
Making noise like they're ready to play
But when Grapes throws two picks
That are run back for six
Shanahan docks his skiff up his quay

Go Chiefs!

(sorry if re-post)

Gonna be great though.
I usually just keep my eyes averted from the bottom of the page, treat chat and GDT as if the 10-15th from most recent post is the newest one.

You sound like an idiot 'woo-hooing' something 45-90 seconds after everyone else, but you can catch up and converse in commercial breaks.

In for the win boys!! Southern heat is calming down some thankfully. Garage is set up with 2 TVs (65 and 42). Mahomes on the top tv and other games on the bottom. I want to see this crowd **** with Jimmy G’s head and this defense pick him off. Want to see Tyreek burn that ****ing defense after seeing the disrespect on twitter. This offense turns defenses into clown shows and breaks spirits (and the Steelers whole team).

Not sure if this thing is a blowout but could see one absolutely.

This will be interesting, win or lose.

Grudges and familiarity morphed the Chargers and Steelers game into something other than a random matchup of scheme and skill.

I'm keenly interested to see how Mahomes responds to a defensive scheme and personnel we don't see so much.

See how he responds to as much confusion and pressure in as many permutations as possible while he's young and learning. So long as he keeps his health it will only make him better.

We don't want the league 'figuring him out' if it's even possible. Like getting in Carr's face or sustained coverages confusing Watson. Throw wrinkles at him and let him shine.

For me, this is really fun because I’m not anticipating super bowl at all. It’s about the growth of Mahomes and this stellar offense. Hope to see the defense start to find some impact young players (KPass, Speaks, DOD, Watts or Smith). The money is starting to shift to the offense now so young cheap defenders have to be found.

This is our easiest opponent all year. No Goodwin as well. We should win this by 14 at least. Get it done. Mahomes and the boys should roll them up like a rug.
