To each their own. I rented Bulletstorm and had a blast playing it. Now that's a satisfying shooter with sick ass combos where your points actually mean something.

I'll go back and beat Vanquish (when I'm through with Bulletstorm) just to beat it, but it's a rather boring game, IMO.

Is it better than Gears? No, but it's a satisfying facsimile with interesting tweaks. Well worth $17.

The game is non-stop action with great boss battles... Can't see how someone, who enjoys 3rd person shooters, would be bored with it.
I absolutely loved the campaign and the challenge modes.

IDK man, it just felt somehow flat to me. The setting, the dialogue and the shooting mechanics all kind of took away from the game as far as I'm concerned. I love the sliding and I love the slow-mo but all in all, I'd say it's just a decent game, nothing special. Do I regret paying $17 or whatever it was for it? No, I don't.

I haven't tried the challenge mode, maybe that will redeem the game. I like a solid challenge.
