Please don't settle on Avant...there are better options still available.

They aren't all that good at the draft. Tom Brady masks a lot of issues.

The idea that it's better to be the worst than mediocre is an astounding mentality that is absolute horse shit.

I'ts easier to climb from mediocre to the top than from the gutter to the top. When teams 'rebuild' they usually rebuild for 10 years. Not three. It's impressive that KC fans still think Herm had the right idea, even though his actions led us to being one of the biggest jokes in the NFL for a decade.

I guess we have a lot of probowlers, so ti was a good trade off. Or something.

Who said Herm had the right idea? Oh that's right, all the people applauding Dorsey for his new "build through the draft" direction.

His idea was 180-degrees different than Vermeil's approach and people welcomed it.

The best news is that Dorsey actually has used both approaches in less than 18 months.

An intertwined approach that builds through the draft and uses free agency to fill holes, make splashes/put you over the top is the way to go.

Oh give me a ****ing break.

Herm rebuilt the Chiefs because they needed to be rebuilt. Herm didn't turn the Chiefs into a laughing stock. Vermeil and Peterson did. Herm inherited a team that was an absolute shit sandwich and had the balls to force a youth movement, even though Peterson didn't want it. And by the way, the team he built would have been competitive in 2009 if Scott ****ing Pioli didn't dismantle it and force the team into a 3-4.

It is amazing to me that people still hate Herm so much that they would blame him for the mistakes of Vermeil. He was a so-so coach, but he made a gutsy and correct decision on the rebuild.

Herm inherited a different situation than Dorsey. Herm's best option was to sledgehammer the team. Dorsey inherited a team that was on the upswing but still had a ton of holes to fill.
