Chiefs #4 ...Pit #2....Pats #1: Week 17 BES Rankings

LINK - http://besreport.com/week-17-bes-ran...issue-of-2016/

I'm pretty satisfied with this final report considering the BES is completely math driven with no subjective bias or input. All playoff teams are accounted for in the top 15. Only non-playoff team in the top-10 is the Titans but they're also 10th in Weighted DVOA (Football Outsiders' metric).

In terms of the playoffs, it'll be interesting to see how accurately this report plays out in the postseason. The BES was 70% accurate over the latter half of the season. However, the playoffs are an entirely different beast in terms of intensity and urgency.

There's also home field advantage. I don't care how hot a team is coming into the postseason, nobody wants to go to Foxborough or Arrowhead. That being said, I'd be mildly surprised if the Cowboys reach Super Bowl 51. I'm leaning more toward the Packers or Falcons representing the NFC.

Final rankings were 3-1(.750) in the wildcard round. Raiders without Carr had no chance. Good slate of divisional round games coming up. GB@DAL should be a classic.

Damn those numbers! Was hoping they'd be wrong on this game. But wow... 7-1 (.875) in the postseason so far. I'm torn...I hate that the Chiefs lost but impressed to see my final week 17 rankings be 88% accurate in the playoffs.

Well...despite being published a month ago, my final rankings were 9-2 and 82% predictive in the playoffs including the Super Bowl winner. That game was incredible! Easily one of the best...if not the best Super Bowl I've seen in my lifetime.

But as it stands, I may not need to change much...if anything. The best part is I can throw this in my wife's face whenever she complains about me being on the computer too long.lol!
