Yep, who is better suited to beat them next round?

I don't watch much NL baseball. The lack of a DH annoys me tremendously.

Giants are better suited to beat them IMO.

Trust me, Buck won't say nuthin' until he has to. But I can't envision any scenario where Tillman doesn't go in Game 1. After that...Chen, Gonzalez, Norris, not necessarily in that order.

I'd rather see Chen in KC and Gonzalez (who didn't pitch in the ALDS) in Game 2.

Ubaldo will be watching baseball along with the rest of us, and Gausman will probably be a long man.

And, if rain screws everything up Friday and Saturday and they lose the travel days, no one on either team is going Game 1, 4, and 7, unless it's on obscenely short rest.

I watched the wildcard game at a bar in Austin. I went by myself wearing my jersey and sat down in front of a tv playing the game.

I heard a few "cheering for you guys" comments from some random people passing by as the game started.

Toward the 4th or 5th inning a couple of neutral fans took a seat near me and started to talk a little baseball with me.

Then, as the Royals started mounting their comeback in the 8th and 9th innings, I noticed a bunch more people had gathered around the area where I was sitting and were cheering on the Royals.

In the bottom of the 12th all of the neutral fans that had gathered around seemed like they were on pins and needles. When Sal got the game-winning hit the whole bar erupted.

It was quite a scene.

everyone is rooting for the Royals other than Orioles, Cardinals, Giants and Nationals fans.

Everyone.

I'll welcome anyone and everyone to cheer for us! Anything that builds attention and excitement towards the Royals that might just sway the front office to go all-in for the future? Heck yeah!

Yep. I'm getting stopped everytime I'm in public with Royals stuff on. "Hey I'm pulling for you guys" or "go Royals, it's exciting to see a new team in the mix"

The NL is a complete joke. Anyone who can read even elementary statistics would reach that conclusion. MLB has to consider standardizing the game across leagues because no other sport has one conf that is so superior to the other. Teams like Cleve-Tor-Sea should be annoyed they're at home while these 2 mutts play for te NL once more

We went 6-1 vs them.

I think it would suck playing the Giants and losing to them... they would have won 3 in 5 years. If we play them and they beat the Royals, I might start hating the Giants... I don't want that to happen...

I love going to games in San Francisco... the Giants are my 2nd favorite team... I've been to 8 games out there. I saw Barry Bonds hit 737 into the bay. I have 2 SF hats, a hoodie and jacket.

I was cheering outside of AT&T Park when they won it in 2012. The fans start chanting, "Let's Go Giants.... F### DETROIT!!" How could you not like them sweeping the Detroit Tigers?

Go to :35 seconds

Then the Police in Riot Gear move in...

I think it would suck worse to lose to the Cardinals, though. Those smug, condescending douche nozzles would become worse.

So, if we get to the World Series... we HAVE to win. We can't lose it.

First, however, we should focus on Baltimore, because they could definite beat our ass.

The highest salaried team in baseball just lost to the Cardinals. The 2nd (Yankees), 3rd (Phillies), and 4th (Red Sox) highest salaried teams did not make the playoffs. The 5th (Tigers) and 6th (Angels) just got swept in the ALCS. Spending more money does not always make a team better.
The Royals might actually have a lower payroll next year than they did this year. Shields, Butler, Willingham, and Aoki will clear up some money. They won't have to pay big money to replace Shields since I think the 5th starter will come from within. If they can pick up a RF and DH via trade versus free agency, they could actually be spending less.
I would like to see them spend some money to extend Gordon so he finishes his career as a Royal. And, there are some guys that will get a raise because of arbitration. But, the Royals' total salary could be less than this year.
