Why do black people cross the street so slow?
I live in north Scottsdale/PV area which is not diverse. I am the first to admit I don't get inner city. On several recent occasions I've had to drive down town for business. Every time I have, including today, I've had to sit at a light waiting to turn because a black person deliberately walked as slow through the intersection as they could. Other people walked by them at a normal pace but they just sauntered. On one occasion the person looked at my car and actually slowed down even more.
What the hell? Am I imagining this or is this some kind of thing?

Like all stereotypes, there's at least a grain of truth.

I've noticed that black men by and large shake hands all limp wristed...it's weird. They also don't tip. By and large. I think it's just a culture thing that old white dudes like me just don't get.

I never noticed this...but then again I grew up in a mostly white neighborhood in NY where everybody is always stressed and late. Walk across the street too slow and they be scraping your ass up off the road no matter what color you are.
