Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.

I made it to close to lvl 10 last night. I have found that running the patrols are a quick way to add exp points. We also did all of the story missions a 2nd time on hard (they weren't much harder).

It was hard giving up on my Vangaurd weapons. I out grew them pretty damn quickly and I probably kept using them a lot longer than I should have.

I'm pretty sure that we found a couple of places in the cosmodrome that we couldn't get to in the beta. I certainly don't remember the two rusted out helicopters.

Whenever I'm alone I get hit with those optional Vangaurd missions that have a timer and I get really close to pulling it off. When I'm with a group it never comes.

Tonight I'll check out the moon and take my lumps in the Crucible.

Some of the top tips I've picked up over the last couple of days...

Apparently the Vangaurd gear resets all the way up to level 10. I'll be checking that our later today.

If you run out of all 3 types of ammo just wait 30 seconds and you get an automatic refill. This is bad news for bosses.

Damn Vanguard pre-order bonus is bugged out for me. He won't let me access the guns that I want (scout rifle & plasma rifle), and there's no timer on it.

Why are level 24 enemies only dropping level 18 gear in the Heroic playlist. I only have one piece of level 20 gear and it's a Legenary Helmet I got from the message lady. I'm getting one hit killed by Stealth Vandals and it's because I can't get any higher level gear.

The only way I can think of to get level 20 gear is by getting lucky with the Cryptographer, but buying stuff from him is really expensive when Glimmer is so hard to come by.

The key is to download everything available to you under "Related Items", which is a menu option under the game tile on your dashboard.

Thats for PS4, I'm on XB1 and tried re-installing and power cycling, etc. Are you suppose to see 12 or so green items from him or do they cycle?

So my PS4 copy came with a 30 day free trial to PS+. The code doesn't work. Interesting.

I may be the dissenting opinion here, but I canceled my preorder a few days before the game dropped. The fact that Bungie didn't send out the review copies until a day before(and according to Neogaf, some still haven't recieved it) drew a lot of red flags from myself. Now looking at the first hand accounts, I think I made the right choice.

I think that there's only 6. 5 weapons and a piece of armor.

They are cycling as a level up but they cap at lvl 10.

Not sure if this has been posted, but the PS3 version is seriously gimped.

Damn only 6? The vanguard trailer showed every weapon type, and an embem.

Has anyone had any luck with Fusion riffles? The stats are always impressive but in the field I just can't seem to accomplish much with them.

I wasn't a fan of the Pulse riffles in the alpha and beta but it's pretty much my go to weapon now. Unless a sweet ass auto riffles falls out of someone's pocket along the way.

I love Fusion Rifles and always have one equipped unless I'm doing Crucible matches. They obliterate shields, have really good range and they also penetrate targets so if a bunch of enemies are grouped up you can take out the whole pack with just a couple shots.

I've been using them today for the first time since beta. There's a bounty in the Tower that has you kill 2 mobs at once 20 times with a fusion rifle. Hasn't been easy for me, being a snipery kind of guy. But it doesn't seem like a bad weapon, sort of a half-and-half shotgun and sniper rifle. I'll be going back to my sniper rifle as soon as I finish the bounty (at 15/20).

What's surprised me is how much I like hand cannons now. I hated them in beta, but I got a level 8 uncommon and then later a level 12 and now that's all that I've used today. I would imagine I'll probably stick with scout rifles once I eventually get a good one, but it's been fine so far. Used pulse rifle most of the day yesterday, and it was fine solo, but playing with a friend yesterday evening I was having trouble with killing anything before he one-shotted it. It was just faster for him to get kills with his scout rifle, which reflects my own experience from beta.
