In 2004, TO's agent missed a deadline, and he and TO thought he was an FA, while he really still was SF's property. TO signed with one team, while SF traded him to another. The NFL stepped in and worked out a 3-team deal.

That was different - he was still 49ers property. That's the exact opposite of what happened here.

Like I said, the Broncos could have tried something like that, had they not cut him.

But they cut him. Deal's done.

couldnt happen to a more deserving franchise. I hate everything about the Donkeys. Maybe thats an undertone why i followed alex smith here so easily.

I have always hated them, will always hate them. Dont think there is a team other than the giants i hate more now that i think of it. maybe the seahawks.....

Though this whole thing's kind of hilarious, it's really no different than Dumervil just refusing to sign, which was a very likely possibility even as of this morning. My guess is the Broncos just move on and look for a replacement.

For a similar reason. The 49er fans didnt like the way that joe was treated. I didnt like the way that alex was treated. Well said.
