Ok but in situations when it matters, I'll take him over any other guy in the lineup other than (Morales or Zobrist maybe) to drive in a run when we really need it. And thats where his offense comes from

I think I was actually the one guy to defend Omar on that one ... everyone called for his immediate DFA'ing
however, he redeemed himself with the flip to Esky as suddenly his flawless defense (legendary, I guess) has now made him invaluable to our lineup despite his offense seeing being below NL pitcher replacement level for 400+ at bats |

The best of our line up is here. Lets score more runs and do it for Duffy.

I don't know why they keep saying that ... as soon as Cain avoided the tag (which was very heads up) and they forced Hos out at 1st .. the run at home counted as Cain was no longer a force out at 2nd.

I won't be suprised either way. The real value of playing Zobrist at 2nd is platooning Dyson and Rios/Orlando. If they don't do that it doesn't matter a great deal to me either way. I guess I'd still prefer Rios if he keeps hitting the ball solid, but it's not a tremendous difference without the platoon IMO.

Rios is the same thing ... if he goes on a 20+ game streak where he's hitting around .750 OPS + ... he'll save his job (for at least the first 6-7 innings of games) ...
but if we bench Rios/Dyson/Orlando and put Zobrist in RF so we can keep Infante at 2nd ... that's just ... stupid |

I'm hoping we can get Marlins updates if possible, Pete ... for the rest of the year?

Does that play help Hos's defensive metrics?
