Per 810: Chiefs tried to trade back up into 1st round

And they are looking to move up in the 2nd.

They think Dalvin Cook is the target.

Yeah, if Godwin, Jones or Smith-Schuster fell, they could be strong considerations as well. Godwin and Jones seem like particularly good fits to me.

This team has 5 TE's on it's roster I don't see one being drafted this year.

I suppose it will depend on how far of a move. If they're at 59 and want someone at 50, I'd imagine a 4th would do it (I'd prefer a 5th but I'm biased).

I could also see them bundling up their 4th & 5th Comp picks to move from 104 to somewhere in the late 80's or early 90's.

I think that quality is more important than quantity in this year's draft, especially since they'll be without a #1 next year (which I'm totally and completely fine with after the trade).

I could not agree more they built the roster now its time to fine tune.
This is why we see Dorsey doing things differently than when he first came here. Dorsey is the best GM out there.

I think we just have one 4th rounder. Pick #132

Flip the Eagles our 5th for him. Use our other 5th to move up in the 3rd.

2nd
Higher 3rd
4th

Two 6ths and 7th can be camp fodder.

Wilson could be a good Ted (I still have no idea what our new terminology is) but he's not a Mike.

Terrance Smith has potential and might become something, but you can't bank on that. If you had a healthy DJ perhaps you stand down and let Smith prove his worth for a season behind DJ, but with DJ's achilles you may never have a genuine starter caliber player there again so I don't think you can risk it or throw Smith to the fire yet.

Alexander...eh, amazing athlete but he's a jumped up Justin March at this point; more athleticism than feel. I see flashes, don't get me wrong, but we should be a bit past flashes now that he's 2 years in. If he were going to be a starting caliber LBer, I think we'd have seen more of it by now. The learning curve at inside linebacker isn't nearly as steep as most other positions.

Our 4th wouldn't. Well, who knows but based on those draft pick value charts (which are usually fairly accurate for this year's picks; future picks are crapshoots), it would take our comp 3rd because our 4th is just too late.

Our 4th would move us up 4-5 spots and not much more than that. The 2nd isn't cheap to make up ground in. It's not until the 3rd that you can start moving 8-10 spots for reasonable prices.

But if there's a cheap deal to make, it seems likely that Dorsey will make it. He likes moving around in the middle rounds. He definitely keeps us on our toes.

I'm of the opinion that Poe's lack of good play and ores our shitty feel around ILB PLAY is what killed them vs the run.

In today's NFL I think you need a stud ilb. All around player etc.

Well, the good thing is that they should be able to get a talented player, if not a solid contributor, in the 4th this year (and maybe the 5th, especially if they're somehow bundled).
