****Official Houston Astros @ Kansas City Royals ALDS Game 1 Thread****

Game 1 SP: Collin McHugh vs Yordano Ventura

6:37pm cst @ Kauffman Stadium

TV: FSN1

It's finally game day, man what a long week. Time for the good guys in blue to put up or shut up. Put the Sept month behind them, eveything's led up to this point and anything less than a WS will be considered a disappointment. Personally I hope to eventually see a I-70 WS. GO ROYALS!!!

Weird! Most people thought they'd bring in Gomes instead of Gore because we already have Orlando and Dyson.

I guess we get to reset our playoff roster each round though, so if we make ALCS vs the BJs where runs will be scored more often, a batter would be of more use than a pure runner.

Also, for everyone who says this will be a dogfight, that's what they said last playoff. That's what Josh Vernier's theme this season was, 'The Fight'. Well it turned out to be not much of a fight from the central, and I fully expect the Royals to sweep the entire postseason.

Glass is not half full, it's a solid gold chalice overflowing with craft beer served to me by high end hookers.

Beltre's a tough dude. If he's coming out, it must be pretty serious, IMO.

Games are typically pretty tight in he postseason. He's potentially a huge weapon

It's very valuable and allows them to use Dyson is a variety of ways, while also being able to PR for the DH or C.

I think they might use Orlando as a PR in some situations as well, when they have a key run at 2B (Rios or Gordon or Moustakas or Zobrist hits a 2B). He's almost assured to score on any hit to the OF, as long as he gets a good jump.
