Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

Most of you probably already know this but it's new to me so I thought I'd pass it along. If you want to level up a weapon and have a completed bounty available, equip the weapon(s) you want to level up before turning the bounty in, every item you have equipped gets XP from the bounty and will level up once.

This also applies to Gold Tier public event rewards as well.

I've gotten better at multiplayer. Just gota get used to maps and shit.

Got all 5 gold beta chests. Earned me a new vehicle

I tried the PVP out some more and I really just can't get into it. The controls just feel so clunky in PVP, in PVE the controls are fine but in PVP it just doesn't feel right.

Isn't the vehicle in the devil's lair chest? I never did it so didn't see for myself yet. Probably the first thing I do Wednesday.

I basically spent the last day roaming randomly around the Cosmodrome doing quests, looking for chests and searching out dead ghosts. Some people were apparently making several thousand glimmer an hour and quickly hit the 25k glimmer cap. Little too boring for my taste although I did end up with 11-12k after I purchased a nice ship skin for my warlock and engrams for all 3 toons. I would be a little surprised if they don't tweak those chests although maybe that's intentional. My last ghost resulted in a message stating I was at 20/50 Ghost Hunter. Final Grimoire count was I think 530. Saw a few people with more, and read about some as high as 700. I expect that doing the strike and PvP will boost my own score.

All in all had loads of fun, played way more than's probably healthy and really looking forward to getting back in Wednesday. It's going to be a long two days and then an even longer month and a half...

Confirmed that the vehicle is in the 5th chest.
