Do you want the Seven Nation Army chant at Chiefs games?

Twice in the first half yesterday the stadium played Seven Nation Army. The first time a few people started singing along, but people in my section were mostly looking around like "WTF?" and it quickly trailed off. The second time I didn't hear anybody chime in.

When did the Chiefs start this? Clearly it's something they want to catch on. We already have a really cool "O" based sing-a-long with the war cry. I googled it and learned they also played it at the MNF game. I was at that game but didn't remember it. Maybe it just stands out more after the ALCS. Curious what the opinions are here.

Disagree here. My section does this one with gusto. Maybe it's all in my head, but I always feel that it has a psychological impact on the opposing team.

I think they have played it at arrowhead before. We just didn't notice it until after the Orioles abused it.

I feel like they upgraded this quite a bit a year or so ago. (Seven Nation Army excluded.) Haven't heard "Black Betty" in awhile.

Sometimes its on, but there are always people who arent on beat, and it kinda dies in and out etc. And any time I have gone to someone not that familiar with the chiefs they cant even figure out what is being said.

The crowd got into it on Monday night, mostly because it was mid ass kicking of the Pats while the crowd was hyped up. Yesterday it died a quick death, fortunately.

In no way is it new and original. It is probably the most overused chant in all of footballdom right now.

Also, considering that Steve Perry is a huge Giants fan, I think Don't Stop Believin' is out.

It used to be much better when they used the Glitter version. The P.O.D. version gets too washed out with the crowd noise and hence people have a hard time picking up the cues.

It's an awful idea, really. I'd rather cue up an unplugged version of Milli Vanilli than that song.

Rock and Roll Pt.2 gets pulled nationwide because Gary Glitter diddled children.

Meanwhile, a song that is pretty much about kiddy diddling is a time honored favorite at ballparks and piano bars.

America. What a country.
