Just saw the clips yesterday. Hard not to compare to Patrick Warburton. Will still check out the pilot, but low expectations.

I loved Warburton in the casting, but that show kinda sucked. They totally botched the execution of the show.

This looks to be a little closer to the comics in tone. I'm hoping they don't dumb it down like they did the first TV show. The comic and animated cartoon were, believe it or not, pretty smart.

Oh I agree, the original live action was horrible, with Warburton being the only redeeming quality. But he just is The Tick for me. Almost a Bruce Campbell level show in how bad it was, and how the main actor went with it and kicked ass anyway.

Back then, I really hoped they'd have gotten Rick Moranis as Arthur.

Edlund had good things to say about this new guy. One of the clips is Tick's first trip to Arthur's apartment. Almost straight out of the animated series, and I like the guy they cast as Arthur.
