Brodie And NFL Game Speed

I've been pleased to note that the game speed is not too fast for Croyle. That was one of my primary concerns (along with Herm/Curl screwing him up). You know, making mistakes that are clearly due to underestimating the safety's ability to close a gap, for example.

Lenny said that he had quite a few dropped passes today, so his stat line may be a little skewed as a result. Also, I understand he was under heavy pressure most of the day. The INT may have been a bad pass, I don't know. However, Lenny said that Wilson (?) didn't really make a play on the ball. You guys will know more about that.

It also appears that he is not the china doll that a lot of Planeteers pegged him as. According to Lenny, he took some heavy shots today, dusted himself off, and got back to work. That's a good sign, as well.

Anyway, props to Croyle for having the between the legs hangy things to go under center behind this pitiable excuse for a line and the fact that, contrary to Herm's claim, he was in obvious passing downs most of the day.

It was a bad pass by croyle on his INT, but the thing that pissed me off is Kris Wilson just watched him catch it and did not even try to knock the ball down

I think Wilson is completely worthless, every single pass thrown to him is never good. Grigsby should be our FB, and when he isn't, there should be another WR in. Wilson can not block, and he has been no receiving threat what so ever.

The interception was a cluster**** from the beginning.

1. Why is Solari sending Kris "dumpy mother****er" Wilson downfield? He has no ups, and plays shorter than his (listed) height of 6-2. He's not really a downfield target.

2. Croyle didn't throw a very good pass. He led Wilson to the inside of the field, and Bailey had perfect position. Croyle needs to place that ball to the outside of the field, between the defender and the sideline.

3. Wilson made no attempt to break up the pass. Help out your quarterback, bigfoot.

There were a TON of dropped passes today. Kris Wilson is worthless.

The Bigfoot experiment should be called. It's over.

On another note this roster needs to be looked at from top to bottom in the offseason. Nobody comes into camp as the starter. Every single one of them needs to earn their job.

Yeah, Wilson's got nothing.

No hands, no moves, no speed, no power.

I'm not sure what his up-side is.

I thought Croyle showed pretty good composure given the circumstances.

He had 2 3rd down passes dropped early that killed drives.

And on our scoring drive he converted on 3 - i think - 4th downs.

Those are positives.

I agree. Wilson has had more than enough chances to make plays and way too much of the time he comes up short.

When Brodie got his assed totally knocked off by D.J. Williams, and then stood in the pocket the next play and zinged the ball to Bowe on a 4th and 13, I fell in love.

This damn guy has a rocket arm, and our shitbag recievers can't catch at the speed he's throwing. It's ridiculous. And Brodie muffed that pass to Kris Wilson, but if Wilson played his damn size he could have came away with that ball.

If it was any other reciever on the field, TG, Bowe, or Kennison, they would have at least broke that up.

He made a bad throw, but not a horrible one. Just a little underthrown from being a great pass Wilson surely would have dropped.

I was gonna post a thread asking about how Croyle, Bowe and Kolby Smith did. This thread kinda answers the Croyle question. How did the other two do (factoring in the circumstances of course)?
