-- Review & Rate your next or previous meal in here.

Hello ChiefsPlanet,

Please review either your next or previous meal in here. Also rate from 1 -> 10 (best) Let's keep them about a long paragraph or two. I'll be glad to start.

Culver's double butter burger (cheese) + everything:

Georgia recently got a location - well a few locations. As it turns out; one is near me. I've had it three times (if you include today.) I find it a decent value. I have to admit that originally i thought they were infusing their meat with butter, but it's only the bun that's brushed with butter. Again I had the double + cheese. i think it was around $5.40ish. I also got a nice size iced water for free. The burger in and of itself is borderline too rich for my tastes. That being said it's practically delicious once you get into glutton form. It's worth the wait as they're made fresh upon the order placement.. The burger is pretty heavy in weight. The meat is seared nicely - the cheese isn't too weird and has a fair melt. bun is simple (as it should be) all veggies had a nice portion-ratio chemistry (or something) and were fresh and crisp. I'd recommend Culver's a few times a year for the burger fan. My only true gripe was it was a tad too rich - I'll give them 8.5/10...

I'd like to hear your rating of your prior or upcoming meal today or soon!

Wrong-o boss. If there was a trace of anything ever on the grain they'd sue everybody. Now, that being said if some jackass sprays something really nasty like paraquat to get the weeds out so he can harvest, they'll quarantine the whole elevator. Nobody is turning a blind eye to carcinogens.

The roundup cancer thing is pretty anecdotal. My dad was spraying roundup before spraying roundup was cool. And back then there was far Less awareness of personal protective equipment.

Don't buy the conspiracies dude. If it were at all provable that food is harming you, you can bet your ass someone would sue the entire ****ing supply chain.

Now, what happens after the elevator... I can't really say, but farming practices are not killing us all.

.

Thanks for sharing.
Soda causes diabetes. How come people don't sue Coca-Cola?

But, alas, here we are.

The wife says she wants Italian. We're just leaving the AMC on 119th after seeing "LIFE", which is a terrible ****ing movie. But that's a different review for a different time. Olive Garden "IS RIGHT THERE" she says. I argue, but to no avail. I know that if I refuse I will get no pieces of any ass when we arrive back at our domicile. I give in.

We go in, and there's like a 45 minute wait...of course. Most of these people are thrilled to be here, I can tell. The girl says "It's half off drinks at the bar while you're waiting" So of course I'm like, "**** yeah. Let's watch UNC and get housed while we wait on this shitty food and service...maybe it'll make it more bearable."

So we're at the bar drinking, and I'm like 4 tall BLVD Wheats deep, when these 2 people get up from their barstools and leave. I'm like, "We should just sit up here and eat." ...the wife agrees. We order another drink, along with food. I get the "Stuffed Chicken Marsala" and the wife orders the standard "Some kind of shit pasta with chicken and alfredo". We also order a side of Alfredo sauce to dip our breadsticks in, because it masks the fact that you're eating a dry piece of thawed garlic flour shit.

We get our salad and breadsticks, but 20 minutes later we have yet to receive our Alfredo for dipping. The 'sticks are now cold and disgusting. The waiter says, "Lemme grab that for you guys. I'll take it off your check." "Cool, thanks", I say. He brings us our Alfredo...we do not use it because, again, the bread is now dry, cold, and as hard as Andy Reid for a first round offensive line prospect.

Literally 45 minutes pass and we do not have our food. The people to the left and right of us, both of which showed up and ordered after us, are now done with their meals. The waitress says to me, "Are you guys doing OK?"

"If we could get the food we ordered an hour ago, that would be great.", I say.

"Let me check on that," she says. When she comes back, she says, "We're just waiting on the pasta to finish cooking."

I immediately feel my blood begin to boil. I know what this is. This is ****ing Olive Garden, bitch. This is the place where your pasta has been cooking since 10am. It's been cooked since 10am. It was never actually being cooked. You are now lying to me. Lying to your customer. This is unacceptable.

I blow my top.

"Hey!" I holler at the dude behind the bar, nonchalantly watching basketball.

"Where the **** is our food?! These people ordered after us and are done! I want it now, I want it to go, and I am NOT paying for it. Go talk to whoever the **** you need to, but if I get another excuse I'm coming over this ****ing counter."

The kid is terrified. I immediately feel bad when he returns 3 minutes later with our food...nicely bagged up...and says "Sorry about that guys. Not sure what happened. This one's on us. Have a good night."

Fast-forward to lunch today: I reheat my "Stuffed Chicken Marsala." It was shit. It was absolute shit. It tasted like I'd grilled chicken halfway, and then rolled it around in the yard and finished it on a cast-iron skillet, complete with soggy-ass mushrooms and something that was supposed to be a lemon sauce. It tasted like total dick.

Moral of the story: No piece of ass is worth eating at Olive Garden. Ever.
That taste was Juan's, Pedro's, Miguel's and Tyrone's "special" sauce they added for you.

Without a doubt it is great ravioli for Olive Garden. And you are right. It is worth the trip. Only other things I will eat there is the spicy shrimp/calamari and salad with breadsticks.

The rest is trash.

If you read what Buehler posted and came up with this conclusion (another great one), "your and idiot."

Eric Berry had lymphoma....do you think it was from all the farm work he did?

An enough derailing this great thread (SR rocks!). If you get your information from Dr. Oz, please stop posting health information.

Well for one, Eric Berry had Hodgkins Lymphoma, not Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Here is some articles and links to studies about it. It is pretty clear that exposure to roundup as an agricultural worker WILL increase your odds of getting Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Less clear the carcinogens in our food from it is enough. But really, it would be almost impossible to prove since you would need a control group who ONLY ate organic foods where Roundup & certain chemicals WEREN'T used for decades, and a group of those who ate foods where the crops WERE treated with the those chemicals for decades.

World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer announced findings that glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s RoundUp line of pesticides, is “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

Here is a lawsuit that Monsanto actually lost regarding Non-Hodgins Lymphoma.

"The global agricultural chemical company Monsanto was recently ordered to pay $46.5 million to three plaintiffs who allegedly developed non-Hodgkins lymphoma from exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), raising questions about the extent of liability the corporation may face from similar cases in the future."

PCB has nothing at all to do with agriculture or the food supply. It was an insulator for electronics.

The reason they can't sue over coke is you have a choice. And the sugars are labeled.

If there was some mystery carcinogen in bread from the ALS inhibitor Buehler445 applied a month ago you bet your ass they'd sue.
