Nicko McBrain has always been underappreciated , even in the metal community. The guy plays with taste and restrains himself to what the song needs. If you listen to songs like 'Powerslave' and 'Stranger in a Strange Land', you'll hear a lot of the subtle little things he adds to songs. The guy also has the fastest right foot I have ever heard. Remember, besides for one song on Brave New World, he plays with a single bass drum/peddle.
If you listen to Clive Burr's drumming on Iron Maiden's 'Killers' album, you will msot likely be impressed as well. |

Man that guitarist's tone sucks though, sounds like a bad compression petal or ringmod. Last edited by ChiefFripp; 04-20-2007 at 02:57 PM.. |

I really dig the ring mod thing for the most part. the drummer plays with a guy named Wayne Krantz (guitar), where both he and the bassist have crazy effects going on.

Old skewl- Tommy Aldridge (BOA, Whitesnake). Although he was probably pretty appreciated at the time. MONSTER drummer.

I heard a track from an LA group named Blue James Band and their drummer was off the chain. Like a mix of Carter Beauford and Aaron Comess
