Chiefs Offseason Planet Evaluation: Tyler Bray

Okay, we know about the handoff, but wasn't that a great setup for Patrick Mahomes II's game-winning drive? Give him credit for that.

Tyler played in 1 game this year with 0 starts. He had 1 pass attempt this year, which fell incomplete.

Does anyone remember the story of that pass? Who did he throw it to? Was it a bad pass, good coverage, a drop, or something else? I'm genuinely curious.

His only career accomplishment is that he sucks less than the likes of Ricky Stanzi and Aaron Murray.

Most Chiefs fans have this big volume of disappointment about the team. Its history, personnel, spectacular playoff failures, injuries, lack of defensive adjustments during games, stupid play calling, worse execution, extremely untimely pass drops, etc.

To me, Tyler Bray is a part of that disappointment. Not the biggest part, not the smallest part, but he is in there making many of us wonder how in the **** he is drawing a living wage when he cannot make a simple ****ing handoff to a running back.

Were it not for preferential treatment, Bray could have outplayed and out-performed this teams' former starter, saving us millions in cap space not to mention 5 seasons of excruciatingly dull QB "performances".

Surprised he's on the roster still to be honest. Never really progressed after being drafted, and we have our guy now.

Prototypical QB with a cannon who could have been great. But he's so damn inconsistent, and Pat has made me see the value of escapability. I always thought Bray had fairly good pocket awareness, but his accuracy is ultimately what has done him in.

Evaluation is the same as it has always been:

He sucks.

The fact anyone ever thought he was going to be anything worthwhile is hilarious and moronic.

He's a camp arm. Always has been, always will be.

Cut his worthless ass.

I feel bad for Tyler. He waited five years for a chance to play, and then that happened. That's got to be tough on morale, as well as your season-ending grades.

0.50 Grade (4.0 point scale)
-1.30 Performance Relative to Expectations (+ = Positive Surprise, - = Negative Surprise)
-2.74 Desired Future Role (+ is larger role, - is smaller role)
-0.71 Ascending/Descending (+ is ascending, - is descending)
7.74 Trade Value (Round, also, zero = 2 1st rounders, negative = wouldn't trade)

Don't feel bad for him. He made NFL money for five seasons when he shouldn't have really made it for more than 1. If that.
