Rich Cimini: Geno Smith Will Be 'The Guy'

Read it and weep, haters. Another sweet year for the Choco Penii coming up in 2014.

http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/vi...e-68cd9604465c

Quote:
"They want Geno to be the guy...He'd have to have a really bad preseason to lose [the starting job]. Right now I'd say Geno is the starter."

-Rich Cimini, ESPN New York

The New York Jets haven't declared a starter yet and have newly added Michael Vick ready to compete for the role in training camp, but according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, the job is Geno Smith's to lose.

Sure I am objective, more objective than most, that doesn't mean I have to believe Geno improved when he didn't.
So saying ANYTHING at all that's not glowing praise is now "bitching" about Fisher?

I said "Geno played better down the stretch. If it works for Fisher, it works for Geno."

I didn't say ONE ****ING NEGATIVE THING ABOUT FISHER.

NOT ONE ****ING THING.

What about EJ Manuel? How come nobody ever mentions him? Since the Chiefs passed on him too......

He was worse than Geno. No one cares about him. Just another QB someone ****ed up taking over Geno.

EJ played some decent games but was hurt for a big chunk of the middle of the season. He only had two multi-interception games, however. He seems capable of taking care of the football.

The guy played like Herm Edwards was his brain.

He's never going to amount to shit.

At least Geno tries to push the ball down the field, and had some success doing it.

I'd MUCH rather see a young QB taking risks with the ball and learning early on the job than playing scared.

Geno will cut down on the INTs in year two.
