I'm not taking up for Bob Sutton, I agree he should probably be fired. However the ultimate blame falls on the players. These guys get paid a lot of money, millions of dollars and they are professional athletes. They need to execute and they aren't doing that, this has become a broken record with the Chiefs and it's embarrassing.

It's hard for me to imagine how he could keep his job with as much as we have invested in that side of the ball and with how they've played at various points in the season. We've seen some great games and some terrible games, but the trend is going down fast. It's not all on Hali and Houston getting injured either, they were non-factors the second half of the season.

Base 4-3 in the second half. No blitzes. No stunts. No body in the back 7 within a mile of the line of scrimmage to even fake a blitz. We went full out conservative. It was a crime how dumb that was.

Certainly part of the blame is theirs, but they did get 4 turnovers, and the offense scored a lot of points. Most average defenses could hold a lead in that situation.
