It’s not like they signed any of these guys with the expectation that they will make the 53 man roster. But I can appreciate taking chances on guys who have some form of talent that is above average, like Coates’ speed for example.

If it works out, awesome. If not, oh well.

I kind of like those guys that have areas of excellence but failed at their first stop. Failure means they've been somewhere and "know the deal". You'll get their absolute best effort to perform so they can stay in the league and pursue their dream. You can't always polish a turd but if they've got something above average in the physical toolkit to work with then some blossom.

It's actually an interesting point. Hard to get touches in the WR logjam in Houston and especially Pittsburgh. Had total shit at qb in Cleveland. I don't think his stone hands can be fixed. But theres that tiny chance that consistent reps can help with focus.

Johnson spent time with the 49ers, Seattle, Bills, Browns, and Cardinals... Is his hip issues still present? The kid has a lot of potential if he's healthy.

What's the scouting report on Grayson? Maybe a good sign that the Chiefs thought highly enough of him to give him a second shot.
