2014 Bowe's best year?
Interesting article on Bowe in Arrowhead Pride (by MNChiefsFan) that looks at Bowe's "efficiency" thus far in 2014. It's a fairly lengthy article so I'll only post the thesis and leave you with a link:
"Somehow, very quietly, Bowe is starting to piece together his most efficient season as a pro. Let me give you a couple of minutes to stop laughing and making fun of me. (waits) You good? Great. I suppose what got you laughing was the idea that Bowe is somehow better this season than he was in 2010 or 2011 (his most productive seasons by yards and touchdowns) is pretty ridiculous. Which is why I'm not here to argue as to whether Bowe is going to post better overall stats than he did those years. This is where the word "efficiency" becomes important. Because so far this season, Bowe has been highly efficient with the targets he's received." Rest of article: http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2014/1...as-city-chiefs |

Maybe... but then you are taking targets away from Charles, Kelce and crew. That will help Bowe's stats, but is that better for the Chiefs? IDK. All I know is that I'm encouraged by the fact that he is being efficient with the times that he is targeted.

Croyle Thigpen Cassel Orton Palko Quinn Smith Pretty good reasons why he doesn't have production. If Bowe had Rivers as his QB he would have beast mode stats. |

He's averaging 14 yards per catch. Yes, at the expense of said players

You have to get open to get targeted.

Simply put, he is not worth the contract he signed. Whether or not he is being unitized correctly or isn't that good really doesn't matter. With all the draft picks the Chiefs have they would be smart to go young (cheep) at the position and hope someone emerges into a legit #1.
If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or DJ, I'd pick DJ If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Hali, I'd pick Hali If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Houston, I'd pick Houston If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Poe, I'd pick Poe If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Bailey, I'd pick Bailey If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Berry, I'd pick Berry If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Avery, I'd pick Bowe If I had to pick between keeping Bowe or Hudson, I'd pick Hudson He's not a priority on this offense so he's not a priority to keep around. If the Chiefs need the $, I'd have no problem showing him the door. |

That excuse only goes so far. Again he's a very good WR but his production doesn't match his salary. Look at the QB's Andre Johnson has played with for example or Eric Deckers touchdowns with Tim Tebow. The last few years Bowe wasn't very good. I heard a stat that he hadn't caught a touchdown in a Chiefs victory since the Colts game 2011. Don't know if that's true or not.

2008 Patriots Moss and Welker Made Cassel look like a franchise QB. Of course we all know how well that turned out.
