Okay car guys... Good value?

Or can we talk them down?

Free Carfax.

http://www.cmsmotorsports.com/vehicl...mo-id-15029200

https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...GR48K58C228533

According to one website, it is listed at $1725 above the average asking price. This one has the Hefty floor liner, tow package, below average mileage, etc. though. Just wondering what smarter people than me think. Thanks.

Seems like a lot for an almost 10 year old Chrysler vehicle. It's going to start having problems soon.

On the Carfax, it lists an accident and airbag deployment. When I asked the sales associate if they had more information, they said the vehicle rear ended someone at a stop light and the steering wheel airbag deployed. Maintenance was performed, wheels aligned, etc. There's no front end damage reported, so I'm guessing the motor wasn't affected?

Really? I thought Jeep was one of those that you could drive into the ground. The mileage is really good for the year, and it appears to have been well-maintained.

Someone can feel free to correct me, but Chrysler products are consistently at the bottom for reliability according to consumer reports.

They used to be. Jeep hasn't been the same since they were bought out by Dodge/Chrystler but they still thrive on the old reputation.

The only Jeep brand vehicle that is still remotely as rugged as its reputation makes it out to be is the Wrangler. The Cherokee fair ok and everything else they put out is junk.

Too much, and they ALWAYS have issues. Not to mention airbag deployment etc.

That 3.7 liter v6 is plagued with issues. Its the 4.0 straight six that they got rid of in years prior that was the beastly bulletproof motor you always heard about, and thats the ONLY good thing they made.

PM me lets find you a real deal~

I think it's more of a braking problem .The airbag seems to deploy when they smash into the back of other vehicles.

Baconeater seems to be pretty happy with his.

Lots of opinions, even in this thread by people that heard or read something somewhere but haven't actually owned one.

Of course, I am well known to be biased.

I own a 3.7 in our 07 Nitro, 83k, but I take obsessive care of my stuff with oil changes and other maintenance.

Our Nitro has had more problems than every car we have ever owned combined, but the engine is not one of them.

I swear it was put together on a Monday with parts rejected from the previous week. But it was all fixed under warranty and is a fine dependable SUV now.

It sounds high priced to me, and I would want nothing to do with a vehicle that has had an air bag deploy.

Oh, and AMC (rambler) is the company that put out some real crap under the jeep name when they owned it.

Correct answer!

Plus airbag deployment is a good speed accident and the frame could be out of whack.
