And lets not forget the following.
+ Mahomes has probably played the most difficult schedule of those he is competing against. + Chiefs are playing a 1st place schedule where they are playing the NFC West and NFC North this year. This team is playoff ready by playing big games vs Chargers, Steelers, Patriots, and Rams. +With three potential AFC West teams in the hunt for the playoffs, find me a more difficult division? |

Every time I read that he has as many TDs as Brady and Rodgers combined, my mind is boggled.

Mahomes has been hyped more than any QB in the NFL and has been hyped more than any young player at any position I can remember in my 20 years as a fan. If you think he's being slighted, I don't know what to tell you. |

I don't think he has been slighted, but I think that Brees might get it as a lifetime achievement award.

People are noticing it now because they're losing. Dude has had beefs with coaches, players, and his own family. Seems every time an offensive player not named Jordy Nelson leaves GB the first thing they do is mention that Rodgers is a bad leader or a dickhead. Rodgers was encouraging the Redskins to sign Greg Jennings during his contract year. IN FRONT OF GREG JENNINGS. Dude is a ****. Mahomes has all of his talent, but his teammates coaches and family like him. I'll take a great QB who's a prick over an average QB who's a 'nice guy', but I'm happy to have a QB that is both of those things. |

Here's a list of 'pundits' who constantly speak little or even negatively of Mahomes MVP chances: Eric Mangini Skip Bayless Jason Whitlock Kurt Warner Deion Sanders Kyle Brandt (always credits KC's weapons more) Colin Cowherd Max Kellerman. And this is only since the Saints-Cowboys game. The list was even longer before that. |

I don't take contrarians who flip positions on a daily basis as seriously as you do, nor do I allow them to make me as upset as you do. I think Deion in particular just does that to rub Shannon Sharpe the wrong way. You're talking about hot take guys who often take the unpopular position to generate buzz. So what? You also said they're just talking up big market stars. Like New Orleans? That giant market? |

I like how you jumped to New Orleans as a big market example when I clearly mentioned Aaron Donald in my original post. Again, comprehension not your strongest suit. Brees has the sentimental vote, a completely different point. |

That's not necessarily true. He beat Jacksonville when they were 3-1 and the Bengals when they were 4-2. Both of those teams fell off a cliff after the Chiefs beat them. The Broncos also have a 6-4 record in non-KC games.

I’ll bet you a dollar PM doesn’t give a stool about the MVP. This kid wants to win a Super Bowl. And I’ll bet you another dollar he does.
