They've had the Mexican Pizza for a very long time. I remember eating one in 1988-ish.

As far as I know they dropped them, reintroduced them as the Chilito (which weren't as good), then dropped them again.

If it helps, it's only pizza in the sense that it's roundish and flat-ish.
Don't think of a traditional pizza with Mexican toppings. Think more this;

Yes, yes it was. To give you an idea here's what went into just a taco: Corn tortillas were deep fried in lard using special shaping racks and kept in a warming cabinet that supplied dry heat at 200 degrees. Beef from five pound chubs (usually two at a time) was browned on a stove top in large pans and had to be drained before it was brought to the production line. The seasoning was made from a dry mix and added while cooking the meat. Heads of lettuce were trimmed and then shredded using a Hobart machine and the shredded lettuce was stored in a walk in refrigerator where it was kept hydrated and ready to be brought to the line. Blocks of cheese each weighing approximately 42 pounds were cut with piano wire into seven segments which were run through the same Hobart machine using a different shredding blade, and the shredded cheese was kept in a bus tub in the walk in ready to be brought to the line. And all of that (and much more) was kept on the production line in small quantities to ensure that the food was as fresh as possible. And that's just a taco. Taco Bell used to be real food. |

They should make them permanent menu items in states that have legalized weed. Outside of those, I couldn't guess whether there's a market.

It's my favorite fast food burger by far. It's non greasy, grilled, made to order goodness on a toasted bun with mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. There's no gimmicky sauce or other crap there.
