Motor Home Trip
Have some vacation coming up and have acquired the use of a motor home from one of my In-laws. Live in Omaha and would like to keep it to around 700 miles or so. I am looking at maybe Canada (maybe Clear Lake by Wasagaming) or Maybe Yellowstone. Out of those two what would be your top choice? Where would you go if you had a choice? Colorado also would be high on my list of places to visit since I had a trip planned a couple of years ago but never got to go due to some work stuff.
Just so you know will probably like to bike and hike some trails, possibly do some scuba diving if it is available, and just relax. I am not a huge fisherman but might grab a pole on the way out of town. Although I am seriously considering getting a spear gun and trying my hand at doing some spear fishing when I scuba dive. |

Definitely an important question to ask. I think I can do it without killing anyone.

If it was me I'd go to Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan. Fantastic riding, scenery, cooler temps.

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so if he decides on this I can help. Beautiful things to see. Lake of the Clouds, Copper Harbor (entire Keweenaw Peninsula actually), Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Whitefish Point, etc etc. |

We don't really have mosquitoes in Colorado. Everything else is a tiebreaker.

Red Lodge to Cooke City to Yellowstone is a helluva a drive! I wouldn't take it in a big motorhome, though.

That is handy! I was referring to that Christmas Vacation flick when the dummy unloaded it into the storm drain outside of Clark Griswold's house!

So it looks like the Canadian trip I wanted to take is out. Pretty much all the camp grounds are filled up with their RV spots up there. I will take a look at the Michigan stuff.
