I don't think he ever completely recovered from that leg/ankle injury last December.
Baltimore Radio's been speculating that the Ravens were going to dump him sooner than later. He was basically told he was going to be a healthy scratch for the rest of the season about a month ago by the team.

Understand. It’s a dilemma for them for sure. Sign a guy long term who has limitations or take your chances with an unknown guy?
It’s the whole ‘Rivers/Romo/Cutler/Alex Smith’ dilemma again. Teams usually play it safe with a known quantity even if it has a known vulnerability.
