Fox has been working on this concept for quite some time and supposedly, the word is that it's great.
I didn't mind the trailer and dug some of the action scenes. We'll see if it works but they've put a lot of dough into it. |

I take it Donner, Silver and Shane Black are not involved?

I really really love the lethal weapon movies.. its hard to see how its not going to be bastardized. Nobody beats Mel Gibson at his own character~

This is another, 'who is this made for?'
Under 35s have no idea what this is it don't care at all. Over 35s reject it as another crap reboot.

Don't care what the word is, that trailer is an abomination. I like Wayans. Loved In Living Color, but he has very little range. No way he pulls off the Murtaugh character believably. Even in that trailer he's about to break out into a Major Payne whine. Not to mention that the whole thing looks like a spoof. Kept waiting for someone to run by in a Scream mask.

Dude, it's unbelievably difficult to find an audience for a brand new show, so concepts that are familiar can be an easier sell.
But that said, the awful Rush Hour series was just cancelled, so it doesn't always work. Hawaii Five O is about a successful a reboot I've seen recently. |

If they're going make Lethal Weapon into a tv series then I'd like to see a movie called The Fall Guy
About a stunt man who gets caught up in all the live action of real shootouts and police work. That was a great show from memory. The cool thing would be all the stunts to bring it on the big screen.
