I think much like Vic Fangio, he is quite happy to be a D coordinator. That too might of been part of the reason that Andy Reid brought him in.

The amount of stellar coaching, aaron Glenn, Eric Biennemy (sp) is really good as well. Andy Reid built a hell of a coaching staff.

I am full on impressed by the Chiefs. For as much shit I get for liking alex smith, I can name 50 other moves that were just as impressive as getting Alex Smith for peanuts.

I sure hope you're right, because I love this coaching staff, especially Bienemy and Toub. And the whole Childress specialist position is awesome lol.

Before everyone flips and crowns his ass (again), just remember he still has a tendency to play REALLY passive on 3rd and long and coughs it up, pretty much the exact same as ALL of the 2nd half of the Colts playoff game where they blitzed twice in the second half. He otherwise puts good schemes out there when he remembers not to go full-reerun.

I just could not disagree more.

Reid and Dorsey inherited a shallow and shitty roster. The depth that exists today didn't exist last season and there was no one to rush the passer after Hali and Houston were injured. Frank Zombo is a special teamer, Dezmon Moses is out of the NFL and Martin was no where near ready.

Add to the fact that the secondary, with Lewis, Demps and a seriously declining Flowers, was fairly awful. Tyson Jackson couldn't rush the passer, nor could DeVito so outside of Poe, there was no one able to apply any QB pressure.

No amount of "scheming" on the fly could make up for the lack of talent available late in the season and during the playoff game.

And then Hali played poorly, Houston's one arm began to give and Flowers went out. The offense not only lost Charles early but Donnie Avery and Kniles Davis late.

It was a disaster of epic proportions. I've never seen a game in which so many starters were injured and lost for the remainder of the game.
